A circuit contains a generator and two lamps L1 and L2 connected in shunt. The intensity measured in the L1 branch is I1 = 0.4 A and that in the L2 branch is I2 = 0.3 A. Calculate the total current delivered by the generator and explain, in one sentence, the law you use.
