Why not everyday objects?

Tunnelling allows a particle to pass through a barrier that it could not classically cross. Yet a ball thrown against a wall never passes through it.

Explain this difference by drawing on the factors that govern tunnelling. Is tunnelling strictly forbidden for the ball, or merely negligible?
