Compound interest and geometric progression

An initial capital of 2,000 euros is invested at an annual rate of 3 per cent, with compound interest (each year, the capital is multiplied by 1.03). Explain why the capital forms a geometric sequence, state its common ratio and first term, then explain how you would calculate the capital after 10 years and the total amount accumulated over those 10 years if you added together the capital amounts for each year.
